Mixie
Before the app launches. Mixie is preparing for App Store release. The support mailbox is still being set up, and delivery has not yet been verified.

Your clothes. Your creations. Your iPad.

This policy explains how Mixie handles information and the choices available to parents and guardians.

Effective 14 September 2026. Privacy questions can be sent by a parent or guardian to support@mixie.me when the mailbox is available.

What the app keeps

Mixie keeps a wardrobe and editable outfit scrapbook in the app's storage on your iPad. This includes clothing photos you choose, clothing names and labels, favorite and availability choices, outfit names and text, stickers and their positions, saved-look previews, worn selections, and app settings. These are used to show your clothes, make local outfit suggestions, and restore your editable looks.

The app does not require a child's name, date of birth, school, email address, selfie, body measurements, contacts, or location. Choose photos of clothing, and avoid entering private personal details into clothing names or board text.

Photos and camera

A grown-up unlocks photo imports with the Parent PIN. The system photo picker shares only the photo selected for an import. The camera is used only after a user chooses it and the iPad grants permission. Mixie crops and resizes the imported copy and re-encodes it without source EXIF or location metadata. Supported background removal runs locally. You review the result and labels before saving.

Mixie does not upload your clothing photos or change the source photo in the Photos library. The system picker may retrieve a selected original from iCloud Photos according to your device settings.

Optional voice and outfit understanding

Voice requests and on-device outfit understanding are separate Parent settings and start disabled. Listening starts only when you tap Talk and grant the relevant system permission. Recording is limited to 25 seconds and stops when cancelled, when you leave the helper or app, or when the audio session is interrupted. Audio is processed on the iPad and is not saved by Mixie.

Recognized or typed requests are temporary. You can review and edit recognized words before asking for outfits. The conversation clears when you close the helper or leave the app. Mixie does not save a conversation history or log your words.

When enabled and available, Apple's on-device model interprets a bounded clothing request using labels and tags from the active closet. It does not receive clothing photos or scrapbook text. Mixie validates the proposed action against the current closet and shows only app-authored replies. There is no remote model or Private Cloud Compute fallback. If on-device services are unavailable, the local outfit request buttons still work.

You can choose from available Apple system response voices. Personal Voice and third-party voice providers are excluded. Mixie does not download voice or model assets through its controls.

Parent PIN and device protection

A separate Parent PIN gates photo imports and private settings. Mixie stores a salted cryptographic verifier and retry-delay state in the iPad's device-only Keychain, rather than saving the PIN in readable form. Setup and recovery use the iPad's system owner authentication. Mixie receives its result, not your biometric data or device passcode.

Anyone who can authenticate as the iPad owner can recover the Parent PIN. This local gate is not proof of age or verified parental consent. Keep the device passcode private if you use it to control access.

Sharing, tracking and backups

The native app has no user accounts, advertising, analytics SDK, shopping, public feed, person-to-person messaging, or app-operated cloud sync. It does not send photos, audio, conversations, or wardrobe records to the publisher or an AI service. Apple may operate system services under Apple's own policies and your device settings.

Your iPad's backup system may include Mixie data. In the Parent area, Include app data in iPad backups controls whether the app's data directory is excluded from future system backups. Turning it off does not remove earlier backups. The device-only Parent PIN does not transfer to another iPad through backup restoration.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete individual garments and looks. In the Parent area, Delete personal clothing & all looks… removes imported clothing and local images, all saved looks and previews, the current draft, and worn selections. Original sample clothes, app preferences, and the Parent PIN remain. This action cannot be undone. It does not delete source Photos-library items or older device backups.

You can switch off voice or on-device outfit understanding in the Parent area and manage microphone, speech, and camera permissions in iPad Settings. Mixie does not maintain a server copy of your wardrobe to retrieve or erase on your behalf.

Support and this website

Parents and guardians can contact support@mixie.me for help. Please do not send a child's voice recording, personal photo, private wardrobe file, PIN, or device passcode. Changes and contact

Material changes will be described in an updated policy with a new effective date. New capabilities that change data handling will require an updated policy and appropriate app controls before use. Contact support@mixie.me with privacy questions.
